Raman Pharma is proud to support the advancement of veterinary research by sponsoring the BSAVA PetSavers Clinical Abstract Award at the upcoming BSAVA Congress and Expo in March. This award recognises groundbreaking clinical research funded by a BSAVA PetSavers grant, honouring the most valuable Clinical Research Abstract presented each year.
This year’s deserving winner is Shona Bloodworth BSc MSc PhD, who has been recognised for her abstract:
The influence of care approaches on owners' decision-making regarding routine vaccination for companion animals.
Shona’s research explores how different care approaches impact pet owners' choices when it comes to vaccinations, providing valuable insights into veterinary decision-making. Her work stood out to the BSAVA PetSavers Grant Awarding Committee, who assessed submissions based on research methodology, explanation of findings, and presentation quality.
As the recipient of this award, Shona will receive £300 in prize money, two BSAVA manuals of her choice, and a certificate recognising her achievement.
Supporting veterinary excellence
Shona’s journey in veterinary science began with a BSc in Physiological Science from the University of Bristol in 2018. She later pursued a PhD at the University of Liverpool, combining her passion for animals, science, and public health.
Her award will be presented at the BSAVA Congress and Expo in March, where leading veterinary professionals gather to share knowledge, innovations, and research that help shape the future of animal care.
At Raman Pharma, we are committed to supporting advancements in veterinary medicine. We are honoured to play a role in celebrating scientific excellence and recognising individuals like Shona Bloodworth, whose work makes a lasting impact on the industry.
